Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 2011 — There’s a company in this well-known city that we’ve been aware of for several years and can vouch for the tasty and nutritious quality of its products.

The company is called Nature's Select, a private firm established back in 1989. They manufacture high quality, high protein dry roasted organic soynut products, the demand for which continues to increase. Recently they shared this story with us, which we thought was good enough to pass on to our readers.

Out in San Diego, there’s a 96 year old lady who was for a time a hospice patient, but who today no longer qualifies for the program. She attributes her recovery and better health to the Whole Foods Market 365 Organic Dry Roasted Soynuts she religiously snacks on daily — a product made by our friends at Nature’s Select.

After snacking on these nuts for several weeks, her caregiver noticed she wasn’t using her cane. When asked she said eating one-fourth cup daily made her feel better. When she ran out, someone purchased more, but they weren’t the same brand and didn’t help. (She’d received her first stash from family living in the Northern Midwest.) After finding that Walgreen’s, Costco and other San Diego-area stores didn’t carry them, help came from the patient’s family and researching the Internet. They discovered these special soy nuts came from a company called Nature’s Select, up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Through them they found it was available at Whole Foods as “365 Organic” soy nuts.

As a result of this discovery, a certain 96 year old San Diego lady is both happy and healthy.

The owners at Nature’s Select tell us they’re working on a new soy snack mix that includes a scrumptious-sounding variety of their dry roasted, sea-salted soynuts, dark chocolate-coated soynuts, a honey-coated variety, pumpkin kernels and dried cranberries. More to come on this later.
