Austin, Texas, March 2011— Here’s a story about a company called NX Global, Inc. They are into alternative energy in a big way, and they are a publicly traded company (NEGS.OB). Negs.biz

The company has directed its focus on alternative energy production models to which bio-fuels are added via the use of algae. From this, NX Global is commercializing advanced technologies to produce oil and animal feed from this abundant and easy-to-grow source.

The process being utilized is a scalable substitute for petroleum-based oil, creating a renewable carbon-neutral feedstock source that is good for the environment. Others have made similar attempts, but growing algae commercially using open ponds has been proven to be unsuccessful because of limited sunlight past certain depths and the contamination of the strain by airborne particulate.

NX claims to have solved this problem by allowing fuel to be produced without occupying land or consuming feedstock needed for food or feed production.

The management team at NX Global is an experienced group, bringing together experts in engineering, energy, research, and information technology fields. The combination of expertise is helping the company take a multifaceted approach to ensure a quality result.

The company says it is well financed, the support from which will be used to purchase property and fund construction on a waste-to-energy and algae facility in Canada.

The Canadian project is a combination of waste disposal and algae production. Carbon dioxide that results from the composting portion of the project will be used to fuel algae production. The intent is to produce both blue-green algae and a species of red algae. The blue-green product will be used as a feedstock for biodiesel production, while the red algae will go to produce a fish oil replacement.

If produced efficiently, the worldwide benefits of Algae fuel and waste management will be immeasurable, increasing energy supplies, and making for cleaner air, less pollution, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the effects of global warming — as well as increasing political stability and helping developing countries.
